Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Fellowship
The Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Fellowship provides up to $42,000 for students entering a two-year graduate program in areas relevant to the work of the Foreign Service.
Pickering Graduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship
The Pickering Graduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship is for students planning careers in the US Foreign Service. Two years of support, State Department summer internships and professional development and mentoring.
Payne International Development Fellowship
The Payne International Development Fellowship provides up to $90,000 support and professional development opportunities for graduate students planning careers in the Foreign Service.
S. Rudolph Light Medical Education Scholarship
The S. Rudolph Light Medical Education Scholarship provides Kalamazoo County residents with up to $2,500 to pursue medical school, dental school, or a master’s of nursing.
Taiwan Scholarship
The Taiwan Scholarship provides tuition, fees, and living stipend to attend graduate school at a Taiwanese university. You must apply separately for admission to the Taiwanese University.
Niles Donovan Scholarship
The Nancy C. Niles Donovan Scholarship provides a minimum $1,000 award to a Kalamazoo or St. Joseph County resident or graduate of a high school within Kalamazoo or St. Joseph County to attend the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine.
National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship (GRFP)
Each year the National Science Foundation awards approximately 1,000 three-year Graduate Fellowships. NSF Fellows are expected to contribute significantly to research, teaching and industrial applications in science, mathematics and engineering.
You do not have to be accepted to a graduate program to apply and being awarded an NSF Fellowship can enhance your graduate school applications. If you have previously been awarded an NSF REU and have plans for graduate school, please consider applying.
Guidelines
Applications are welcomed from students in the sciences and women, minorities, and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants must be citizens of the U.S. or permanent residents.
Fellowships are awarded for graduate study leading to research-based master’s or doctoral degrees in the fields of science (natural, physical and social), mathematics and engineering. Awards are also made for work toward a research-based PhD in science education. Practice-oriented programs are not eligible for support. Research with disease-related goals is also not eligible for support.
National Health Service Corps Scholarship
The National Health Service Corps Scholarship is a program run by the US Department of Health and Human Services scholarships for health professions (MD, DO, DDS, PA). Minimum two-year service obligation. May 15 deadline.
National Association of Social Workers
The National Association of Social Workers offers both scholarships and fellowships for MSW candidates.
