Sherbin Fellowship Procedures Agreement – Grants, Scholarships and Fellowships

Procedures

I, a student at Kalamazoo College (the “College”), in consideration for being selected to participate in the Jerry Sherbin Fellowship (the “Opportunity”), hereby agree to the following:

Term 1(Required)

I will submit 3 quarterly reports using the online quarterly report submission form throughout the term of my grant, due on October 15, January 15, and April 15 of my grant year. Refer to the submission forms for guidance about length and format.

Term 2(Required)

I will write a letter to the fellowship sponsor at the beginning, middle and end of the fellowship term

Term 3(Required)

I will travel back to K during the fall term following the conclusion of my fellowship to share my with others, inspire the next graduating class, and form a connection with future winners that may grow into a virtual community.

I agree to return to the Kalamazoo College campus during the fall term following the conclusion of my fellowship to share my experiences with the K community.

Term 4(Required)

I understand that Kalamazoo College will disburse the $30,000 award in three $10,000 installments on the following schedule: late June (after commencement), early November (after receipt of 1st Quarterly report), and early February (after receipt of 2nd Quarterly report).

I understand that my fellowship award will be disbursed in three installments: the first one in late June (after Commencement), the second one in early November (after I have submitted Quarterly Report 1), the third in early February (after I have submitted Quarterly report 2).

Term 5(Required)

I understand that I must depart the United States no later than September 1st and must remain outside of the United States for 10 months unless an emergency occurs. Please notify the fellowship director at Kalamazoo College as soon as you are able to in such a situation.

I understand that I must leave the United States no later than September 1st of my fellowship year and I must remain out of the US for 10 months.

I acknowledge, by my electronic signature, that I have fully read, understood, and agree to every provision of this agreement. I also acknowledge that I am voluntarily entering into this agreement with my full and free consent. I acknowledge that I am at least eighteen years of age and am my own legal guardian, and if not, that I have secured below the signature of my parent or legal guardian as well as my own.
